Z Is for Moose (Booklist Editor's Choice. Books for Youth (Awards)) - Kelly Bingham I don't always (or even usually) include picture books in my tally for the year, but I loved this one so much that it seemed like a shame not to make note of it. It's been a highlight of my reading year so far, a rollicking good time for readalouds from my littlest up through grade three. From incredulous boredom in the first few pages to uncontrolled giggles and gasps of excitement by OPQ, this book had my students hooked. I plan to use it as a mentor text for alphabetizing and putting books back where they belong in 2014-2015!
